Last year, the obscure håpster culture community came to show its face to the WWW, as the håpster-IDM outfit Warm Surplus dropped their first record: Håpster Selection I - a daring exploration into strange and quirky realms of laptop-music. The "I" of the title was no gimmick: it's now been justified as its sequel is now exhibited in the form, shape, and sounds of Håpster Selection II.
Compared to HS1, HS2 features Lis as full-time contributing musician and member of Warm Surplus. Furthermore, the average duration of a HS2-track is longer, which signifies a slight dimming of the fickle nature of HS1; instead, a HS2-track tends to explore its moods, styles, and grooves with greater consistency.
